Get Inspired...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wOlTdkYXuzE&feature=youtu.be

The video shows us that despite of all the challenges in life that we are facing, we should not lose hope. We should continue on doing what we ought to do and we live our life to the fullest.
I am so much inspired by the man on the video because even though he lacks limbs and other body parts, he still does not make this as an excuse for him to be inefficient. He is still doing what he likes to do and he uses this physical attributes of him to inspire others. He never lost hope to be the best that he can be.
Let us be inspired by him. Let us also use what we have in order to inspire others. We may not have everything, but this lack of something may help us build up the totality of others. Even in simple ways such as using our talents to help the in need, we can inspire others. Let us continue to be living inspiration for others for us to have a better world.

Discipline

Discipline as a noun is a type of training which leads to moral or mental improvement of a person. It also may create a specific character or pattern of behavior of a person. As a transitive verb (disciplined, disciplining, disciplines), it is to teach self-control and obedience to the rules. It may also mean acceptance of authority and imposition of orders (Merriam-Webster Dictionary, 2010).
Examples:
  •  A teacher needs to discipline her students in order for them to be good citizens.
  • You do not have the discipline!

SUCH A PLAN! (Adventure Story)

It has been my dream in life to travel to places which can offer food for my eyes and just right in time, I came to visit Tinago Falls in the City of Majestic Waterfalls, ILIGAN CITY.
Under the blazing heat of the sun, my friends and I waited for the colorful and modern jeepney outside the popular resto in the downtown area, Zoey’s. The route we need to take is to Buru-un. By the time the jeepney arrived, each one of us occupied the soft seats made of foam. Being the leader of the plan, one of my classmates collected our fare. The fare is quite expensive making us wish more that the scenery that we’re about to see is worth the expense.
Running like a cheetah, the jeepney zoomed through its route and unknowingly in minutes, we reached the intersection where we are going to ride again in order for us to reach the falls. We got down from the nice jeepney and asked the bystanding motorcycle drivers to give us a ride to Tinago. They agreed so we paid the fare and had ourselves delivered freshly. The motorcycle ride was bumpy, as if you are on an airplane crossing a big rain cloud.
When the driver prompted that “we are here!”, I was extremely shocked because I can’t see anything great! In my innocence, I was thinking wrong. We still needed to go down through the 300-step stairs for us to see the majestic falls they are talking about. Step by step, I felt my legs get numb. The long trail of steps made us very exhausted.
We reached the 300th step. Amazed, mesmerized by its beauty, I almost cannot close my eyes because the waterfall had captured my heart. The blue, crystal clear water flowing from the cliff full of trees rushing down its trail is the exact proof why Iligan City is called the City of Majestic Waterfalls. A rainbow over the sky is formed because of the moist of water from the mainstream waterfall is flying everywhere. The mixture of the heat of the sun and the coolness of the air gives us the kind of relaxation we never had in our entire life. I think, by that time, we had the best thing environment can offer.
That is why, I am glad that I’ve had this once in a lifetime experience. That was such a plan!

#5 My Hero

I consider the ex-mayor of Davao City, Mr. Rodrigo Roa Duterte, my hero. It is because he has done a lot of things for the betterment of our community.
First, he has imposed a law regarding proper solid waste management. That is the Republic Act 9003. Because of this law, our city now is far way better than before. Solid wastes are being dealt with properly and cleaner streets can be observed. Lazy and irresponsible citizens can be penalized already for not following this rule.
Second, he agreed to the proposed Davao City Water Code being presented by the Water District of our city. With this water code, our underground water reserves called dumoy are protected from being polluted. The direct effect of this is the preservation of the 2nd cleanest water in the world 50 to 100 years from now. Agricultural industries are already not allowed to operate near protected areas to avoid water contamination. With this milestone, I am very much proud I am a Davaoeño.
Third, he has really maintained the security of our city. Only in his administration that the crime rate of Davao City has gone as low as 1 crime case per 100,000 population making our city one of the 10 Asian cities of the future. Anytime of the day, everyone can walk by themselves all alone with the fear of being hold upped erased from their minds. That’s how safe Davao City is because of him.
Last but never the least, the booming of the economy of Davao City is the effect of his noble administration. We are the economic zone center in Mindanao and Davao City has become one of the top 4 earning cities in the Philippines. Because of this, new industries and more commercial opportunities are popping here and there giving Davaoeños jobs and employment chances.
With these four short reasons, I can really say that ex-Mayor Duterte is my hero for he has not only done good things to one or two people, but almost entirely to the 1.8 million Davaoeños.

#4 Dead Ones Communicating with Us?

"There is this man that has been very close to  his mother. He is such a mama's boy and he did everything and anything for her mother. Even he has his own family already, he still never lost his sight for his mother. One day, fate played with him. His mom died due to cardiac arrest. He was so sad. He felt that the has the world upon his shoulders. He was so depressed that he left his family, wasted all his money just to drink and smoke everyday of his life because he thought that it was the escape. One night, he was driving. Because he was so drunk, he had flunked on the car's controls and maneuvered the car all the way down the cliff. No one was around there but only him. By the time the car went off, the only thing he saw was a very bright white light, then right before his eyes, he saw his mother. "Don't lose your life. you still have lot of people to love. I know it's very sad for you because we've spent so much time together, but remember, you still have your family. Your friends. Other loved-ones to take care of. Your life doesn't end here. There's more way to go." "but mom.." his mom fades away through the light and he woke up while lying on a hospital bed. Around him was the family that he left, as he says "Sorry to all of you. Sorry for everything."

The story tells about how a dead mom tells his son to do what he should do. It is really magical that no one can deny that our dead loved-ones communicate with  us. Reaching us anytime gives them the chance to do some things with very important purpose. Based on my experiences and hereabouts, there are 2 main reasons why they communicate with us. One of this is that they would like to inform you about something important that you never knew. May it be a secret or a bigger one. These information make them feel bothered if they won't be able to blurt it out. One clear illustration of this would be a dead mom telling her son that he is an adopted child and he should find his parents. Another purpose why they communicate with us is to spend time with again because they are missing the times we've been together. Missing a loved-one is really one big factor that makes us feel sad. Thus, dead people try to do their best to show themselves to us in such a way that we are able to communicate, say hi or even ask if they're okay. Sometimes, they let us feel their presence. One of my experience regarding this one is that I have this uncle of who passed away 7 years ago. After a year from his death, I went to his house to visit my tita. He had shown signs that he was in the room that I was in that time because I smelled his favorite alcoholic drink all around the room where in fact, no one near the room was drinking the same kind of drink.
These are just some of the reasons I could point out of the countless things that might be considered. As to end up, i really believe in this kind of things because it has been proven by my experiences. Horrific it may be for others, but for me, I consider it lovely as well. I get the chance o remember them and to feel their presence as if we are together all over again.

#3 I Stop to Say Thank You to Papa and Mama

My parents are some of the most important people to me. They take a big part of my treasures because they have let me feel loved all the way as I grew up. From childhood up to now, they never took their eyes of me and they made sure that they could give what's best for me. Also, they taught me to value our family unlike the way others do to their own as of now. People today tend to forget their loved-ones due to other things that are given more priority such as work and earning money but to me, this does not apply. My papa and  mama really emphasized into us, my brother and I, that TIME is the essential thing to keep the fire burning in a family. It is the building block in order to create a good bond among the family members.
Now because of these reasons, i would like to thank you to them. That is, a thank you form the bootom of my heart for all the unmeasurable efforts they have exerted jut to take care of me, the uncountable times they have sacrificed for my own sake and for instilling in me the values and the things that I could use in the future if I would have my own family also. For everything that they have done, I would like to do my best as well to reciprocate all those acts of kindness and make sure that I will love them unconditionally not only today, but forever and always.

#2 Am I Good Enough in Reading and Writing?

The ability to read and write well is one big thing a person must consider himself doing. Why? It is because reading and writing is the passageway of one’s expression of ideas, thoughts and feelings.

One must know whether he is doing well or not in reading or writing. This should be done in order for us to trigger the part where we are weak, and do some actions to resolve the problem.

If I am to evaluate myself as a READER and a WRITER, I think I am just an average on both and this means I still got to eat a lot of rice. I feel and I see that my abilities in these fields are still not enough to reach me to the peak – mastery. When I say MASTERY in Reading and Writing, I mean reading fast yet comprehending everything thus, being able to view all the different angles and points in the passage, leading one to question happenings and events the author chose to write which could be a very great help in the deep understanding of what is read; writing in a disciplined way with a very nice organization of idea, coherence among sentences and paragraphs with watchful eyes towards grammar and structure plus giving in spice to tickle the interests of the readers.

Despite my not-so-generous rating for myself, I am still interested and very much willing to explore the world of English specifically reading and writing. I promise to never stop enhancing these skills of mine. By reading and writing a lot I shall gain more ideas that would help me reach the peak. I should put into my mind that these abilities, for all I know, are not only my edge among others in this very competitive world, but would also be a part of my treasures, treasures worth keeping for the rest of my life.
